Three EBHS graduated last night from the High School Apprenticeship Challenge sponsored by BioBuilder and MLSC. The studied for 8 weeks (3X a week) on the MIT campus during a paid internship! Very proud of these three!

Three EBHS students were accepted into the Life Sciences High School Apprenticeship Training Program at MIT for 2017 and started yesterday! Only twenty students from the metro area were accepted. It is an intensive lab training program housed at MIT. They will go to MIT three times a week for 6 weeks to train in the biotech/bioengineering field. At the end they will graduate with a certificate of training and make $500.00 each!
So Proud! Two EBHS students graduated tonight from the High School Apprenticeship Challenge through MIT/Novartis/BioBuilder, and received their awards!
In attendance to congratulate them were the Mayor of Cambridge, CEO of MLSC, future employers, and the scientist to first clone insulin!! We could not have been more proud of them. OUR STUDENTS ROCK!!!! |
